Tiffin Service

Terms

The deal, in plain words.

Who you are dealing with

Tiffin Service Dubai operates from licensed kitchens in Bur Dubai and Business Bay. If you need a tax invoice, ask and we will raise one from the licensed entity that cooks your food. Contact: +971 55 713 3786, 9am to 9pm, or hello@tiffinservice.ae.

What you are buying

A set number of boxes, not a set number of dates. A six-day plan is 26 lunches; a five-day plan is 22. If a day is skipped for any reason — yours or ours — that box moves to the end of your plan.

The published menu is what we intend to cook. If an ingredient is not good in the market that morning we will substitute something in the same style and post the change on the menu page by 9am.

Prices

The price shown is the whole amount you pay. Delivery is included in the areas we serve. We are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged and none is added at any point. If our turnover ever requires us to register, we will tell you before it changes what you pay.

Paying

Cash or bank transfer, after your first week has been delivered. You get a receipt for every payment. Keep it — it is what makes a complaint enforceable, and we would rather you had one.

Pausing

Tell us at least two days ahead and we will pause your deliveries. Paused days are added to the end of your plan. There is no charge and no limit on how often you do this.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time, with two days' notice, and we refund every box you have paid for and not received. We do not require a reason.

We can also end a plan — if we cannot deliver to your area any more, or in the rare case that someone is abusive to our staff. If we do, you get the same two days' notice and the same refund of unused boxes.

Refunds

Food is perishable, so you cannot return a box you have received simply because you changed your mind. That is the only limit.

You are entitled to a refund or a replacement box, at your choice, if:

  • the order is wrong, or items are missing;
  • the food arrives in a condition you would not reasonably eat;
  • it arrives so late that the meal is no longer usable;
  • it does not match what these terms or the menu said it would be.

Tell us the same day. Nothing in these terms removes those rights, and any clause that appeared to do so would not be enforceable anyway.

The AED 89 trial is 6 lunches. If you continue on a monthly plan, that amount is credited against your first month. If you do not continue, it is simply what the six lunches cost.

Delivery

Lunch between 11:30am and 1:30pm, dinner between 7pm and 9pm. We do not promise a fixed minute. If nobody can take the box, our driver will leave it where you have told us to in writing — after that, it is at your risk.

Allergies

Allergens are listed for every day on the menu page. We cook wheat, dairy, nuts, sesame and mustard in the same kitchen daily and cannot guarantee the absence of traces. If you have a severe allergy, tell us before ordering; if we do not think we can serve you safely we will say so rather than take the order.

Changing these terms

If we change anything that affects what you pay or what you receive, we will tell you before it applies, and you can cancel with a full refund of unused boxes if you do not accept it.

Complaints

Message +971 55 713 3786 and a person will answer. If we have not put it right, you can escalate to the Ministry of Economy and Tourism on 800 1222, or to Dubai's Department of Economy and Tourism. UAE law applies, and the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction.
