How to compare tiffin services in Dubai

Seven things worth checking before you hand over a month's money — and a table of what five named Dubai services published when we read their pages on 4 August 2026.

The short answer

Dubai tiffin services that publish a price charge between AED 245 and AED 587 a month for one meal a day. The differences that decide whether you are happy in week three are not the price: they are whether you can see the menu before you pay, whether you can cancel and get unused days back, whether you pay before or after the food arrives, and whether the business publishes a legal identity you could escalate against. Tiffin Service Dubai charges AED 349 to AED 869 a month. This page sets out what to check, what five named services published on 4 August 2026, and the places where four of them do it better than we do.

How this page was checked

  • Every figure and every quotation below was read off the operator's own website on 4 August 2026, and each one links to the page it came from.
  • Figures we only found in directories, blogs or search snippets are not on this page at all, even where they would have flattered us.
  • Where a cell says no licence number on the page, that is a statement about the page on that date — not a statement about whether the business holds a licence.
  • Nothing here describes anyone else's food, kitchen or hygiene. We have not eaten it.
  • Prices move. If a figure here is out of date, tell us and we will fix it — see the correction note.

Check two

Can you cancel, and do unused days come back?

Three of the five publish a cancellation term and they are opposites: gharkithali.ae refunds unused days at AED 14 a meal after a seven-day minimum, tiffinservicedubai.com publishes “You cannot cancel a weekly or monthly meal plan once it starts”, and delibitecatering.com publishes “No refund or cancellation for our tiffin subscription”. Tiffin Service Dubai lets you stop on any day and refunds the days you have not eaten.

Two of the published terms are absolute. tiffinservicedubai.com states: “You cannot cancel a weekly or monthly meal plan once it starts”, alongside a 24-hour notice rule for skipping a single meal. delibitecatering.com states: “No refund or cancellation for our tiffin subscription”. Both checked 4 Aug 2026. Both are published plainly and in advance, which is more than a lot of the informal end of this market manages.

The other direction exists too, and it matters that it does. gharkithali.ae publishes a refund mechanic: unused days come back, with a minimum of seven days charged, valued at AED 14 a meal — the clearest per-meal figure anyone in this set publishes. yelotiffin.com publishes no cancellation term we could find, but does publish a three-day trial at AED 100, so you can test it without buying a month. We found no commitment terms on tiffin-wala.com. All checked 4 Aug 2026.

Ours: 6 lunches for AED 89 first if you want one — that is AED 14.8 a meal, and it comes off your first month as a credit if you carry on. On a monthly plan you can stop on any day and we refund the days you have not eaten. There is no minimum.

Check three

Do you pay before the food arrives, or after?

Three of the five publish a self-serve checkout — tiffinservicedubai.com at /order-checkout, yelotiffin.com through a subscription configurator and gharkithali.ae through WooCommerce — and yelotiffin.com is the only one of the five that publishes cash on delivery alongside card. Tiffin Service Dubai takes no money at all until your first week has arrived and you have eaten it.

Three of the five publish a way to buy without speaking to anyone: tiffinservicedubai.com has a checkout at /order-checkout, yelotiffin.com has a full subscription configurator, and gharkithali.ae sells through WooCommerce. yelotiffin.com is the only one of the five whose page publishes cash on delivery as well as card. delibitecatering.com and tiffin-wala.com take orders through a form and WhatsApp. All checked 4 Aug 2026.

None of the five publishes when the money is actually due, so this page makes no claim about it — ask before you order, and get the answer in writing on WhatsApp, where it is timestamped.

Ours: cash or bank transfer after your first week has arrived and you have eaten it. There is no card form on this site and no checkout, which is a genuine disadvantage — see where other services beat us. We are not VAT-registered, so no VAT is charged and none appears on your receipt.

Check four

Is there a receipt?

A Dubai buyer who paid a tiffin operator for a month and then stopped receiving deliveries wrote in August 2024 that their Consumer Rights Department complaint stalled because they had no payment receipt — which is why a receipt, not a price, is the first thing to ask for. Tiffin Service Dubai issues a receipt for every payment and an invoice on request.

In August 2024 a Dubai resident wrote up paying a month up front to a tiffin operator found through a flyer at a building security desk. Deliveries arrived for two days and then stopped. On trying to escalate: “I hit another roadblock as I didn't have a payment receipt.” Posted to r/dubai, 12 August 2024.

That is a story about the informal layer of this market — building flyers, Facebook groups, WhatsApp groups — not about any service named on this page, and it is where most of the money in Dubai tiffin actually changes hands. A receipt is what converts a payment into something a consumer authority can act on. It costs the operator nothing, which is exactly why refusing to give you one tells you something.

Ours: a receipt for every payment, and an invoice raised from the group's restaurant entity for anyone who asks. Orders and changes run through one WhatsApp number, +971 55 713 3786, so the whole thread is your record.

Check five

Does the price change depending on where you live?

One of the five, tiffinservicedubai.com, publishes a two-zone price table in which the Business Bay, Marina and JLT side starts at AED 420 a month against AED 375 for Bur Dubai and Karama — AED 45 a month more for the same food. Tiffin Service Dubai charges one price everywhere in Dubai, with delivery included.

tiffinservicedubai.com is the only service in this set that publishes a zone price table at all, which is worth crediting. Its Zone 1 — Bur Dubai, Karama, Al Mankhool, Oud Metha and neighbours — starts at AED 375 a month. Its Zone 2 — Business Bay, Marina, JLT, Media City, JVC and neighbours — starts at AED 420. On the same table, the veg-to-non-veg step is only AED 5 to AED 20, so crossing the creek costs more than adding meat. Checked 4 Aug 2026. The other four publish no zone table, so we cannot tell you whether they surcharge — ask.

Worth checking on any site: that the price is the same everywhere it appears. On 4 August 2026 the tiffinservicedubai.com homepage carried one monthly block reading AED 350 / 400 / 500 and a second reading AED 300 / 400 / 600. We do not know which is current — and that is the point. Ask which number you are being charged, and get it in writing.

Ours: one price everywhere in Dubai. Delivery is included, there is no zone surcharge and no service fee added later. AED 349 is AED 349 in Karama and in the Marina. See delivery areas.

Are allergens listed, and is anything claimed to be free of one?

Tiffin Service Dubai tags allergens on all 24 days of its published rotation. We did not audit allergen disclosure on the five services below, so this page makes no claim about theirs. Under the Dubai Food Code a “free from allergen” claim “has to be based on specific and rigorous controls”, which no shared kitchen — ours included — can honestly offer.

This is the one check on this page where we have nothing to report about anybody else. Nobody audited allergen disclosure across these five sites, so no claim about it appears here — a missing check is not a failed one.

What is worth knowing is the shape of the answer you should get. Under the Dubai Food Code, allergen information belongs on the food list, and a “free from allergen” claim sits under a far stricter rule: it “has to be based on specific and rigorous controls”, validated and routinely verified. So the useful question is not only “what is in this?” but “if you say nut-free, what stands behind that?” Any kitchen cooking wheat, dairy, nuts, sesame and mustard on the same day cannot honestly promise absence.

Ours: every one of the 24 days on the menu carries its allergen tags, and we make no free-from claim of any kind, because we cook all five of those in one kitchen every day. If you have an allergy, tell us before you order and we will tell you plainly whether we can serve you safely.

Check seven

Does the business publish a licence and a legal name?

None of the five Dubai tiffin sites read on 4 August 2026 published a trade licence number, a Dubai Municipality food permit reference or a legal entity name anywhere on the pages checked. Neither does this site yet, and saying so here is the only honest way to publish this page.

All five sites were searched for a trade licence number, a Dubai Municipality or FoodWatch reference, a food-safety certification and a legal entity name. None of the five carried any of them on the pages checked on 4 August 2026. That is a finding about five web pages on one day; a business with no licence number on its website may well hold one, and several of these plainly operate at scale.

The reason to ask anyway is the one in check four: a legal name and a licence number are what make a complaint go somewhere. Ask for both, in writing, before the first payment. Any operator that has them can send them in ten seconds.

Ours: not published here yet, and we are not going to pretend otherwise on the page where we ask you to check for it. What this site does publish is a full price list with no “from” and no hidden fee, the whole menu before you pay, a named WhatsApp number answered by a person between 9am and 9pm, and a receipt for every payment. When the licence number is issued it goes in the footer of every page and in this row of the table below.

The facts, dated

What five Dubai tiffin services published on 4 August 2026.

Read off each operator's own website on one day. Nothing from a directory, a blog or a search snippet appears here.

Published monthly price, menu, cancellation terms and licence display for Tiffin Service Dubai and five other Dubai tiffin services, each read on the date shown.
Service Monthly price it publishes Menu published before you pay Cancellation, in its own words Licence shown Checked
Tiffin Service Dubai (this site) AED 349 / 449 veg · AED 409 / 509 non-veg Full four-week rotation, 24 days, with allergens Stop any day; unused days refunded Not published here yet Our own published terms
tiffinservicedubai.com AED 350 / 400 / 500 About sixty dishes listed with prices; not a rotation “You cannot cancel a weekly or monthly meal plan once it starts” No licence number on the page 4 Aug 2026
yelotiffin.com AED 587 (Mon–Fri) Plan names only Not published; three-day trial at AED 100 No licence number on the page 4 Aug 2026
gharkithali.ae AED 245 promotional / AED 350 list (vegetarian only) Weekly rotating lunch and dinner menu Unused days refunded at AED 14 a meal, seven-day minimum No licence number on the page 4 Aug 2026
tiffin-wala.com Not published for one meal a day; AED 400 for two meals a day “Menu changes every week” Not published No licence number on the page 4 Aug 2026
delibitecatering.com Not published on the page Eleven tier names and a one-line description of the box “No refund or cancellation for our tiffin subscription” No licence number on the page 4 Aug 2026

“No licence number on the page” means we did not find one when we read that page on the date shown. It is a statement about the page, not about whether the business is licensed. Our own row is generated from this site's own price data, so it cannot drift from the plans page. Prices move; see the correction note.

Against ourselves

Where other services beat us.

Seven things the services above do better than we do, two of them on price. If one of these is what matters to you, buy theirs — you would find out in week two anyway.

  • Cheaper for two meals a day

    tiffin-wala.com · checked 4 Aug 2026

tiffin-wala.com publishes AED 400 a month for lunch and dinner, veg or non-veg. Our Ghar Ka Dabba is AED 749. They do not publish how many delivery days that covers, so a per-meal comparison is not possible — but AED 400 against AED 749 is not close, and on the headline monthly price for two meals a day they are cheaper than we are.

  • Cheaper for one meal a day, and vegetarian

    gharkithali.ae · checked 4 Aug 2026

gharkithali.ae publishes AED 245 a month for one meal a day against our AED 349, and AED 350 as the list price behind it. Its page described that as pre-launch pricing with a start date but no year, so we cannot tell you whether AED 245 is still current — ask them. At the list price of AED 350 we are AED 1 cheaper, which is not a difference worth choosing a kitchen over.

  • A kitchen that never cooks meat

    gharkithali.ae · checked 4 Aug 2026

gharkithali.ae is pure vegetarian and cooks nothing else. We cook a meat main on four days out of six, in the same kitchen, on the same equipment. If you want vegetarian food that has never shared a kitchen with meat, that is a real difference and we cannot match it.

  • A real checkout, open at midnight

    yelotiffin.com · checked 4 Aug 2026

yelotiffin.com lets you pick a duration, meals per day, delivery days, a start date and a delivery slot (11:00–13:00 or 17:00–19:00), apply a promo code, and pay by card or cash on delivery, with a published cut-off of “order before 8 PM for next day delivery”. Ours is a WhatsApp message to a person, +971 55 713 3786, 9am to 9pm. If you want to subscribe without talking to anyone, theirs is better than ours.

  • More kinds of food, and a published area list

    yelotiffin.com · checked 4 Aug 2026

yelotiffin.com publishes six plan families — Indian, vegetarian and vegan, keto, lite, mix and “Fab Bowls” — and names more than 150 Dubai neighbourhoods it covers. We cook one thing: North Indian, South Indian and Pakistani home-style, veg or non-veg. If you want keto, or a non-Indian meal plan, we do not make one.

  • Single dishes, and a one-week plan

    tiffinservicedubai.com · checked 4 Aug 2026

tiffinservicedubai.com publishes about sixty individual dishes with their own prices, from AED 8, and sells weekly plans at AED 160, 170 and 200. It also publishes a zone price table, which no other service we checked does. We sell 6 lunches for AED 89 and then monthly plans. If you want one biryani, or one week and nothing after it, we are not set up for you.

  • Independent feedback we cannot show

    delibitecatering.com · checked 4 Aug 2026

delibitecatering.com embeds a third-party review widget — the only independent feedback anyone in this set publishes. We have none, because nobody has eaten our food long enough to say anything about it. There is no rating markup anywhere in this site's code either, and there will not be until there is something real behind it.

The other half of the honesty

What we will not claim.

Customer feedback
We have none to show, and there is no rating or testimonial markup anywhere in this site's code. A number on a page is not evidence, and this site's build fails outright if anyone tries to add one.
Halal certification
All our meat and poultry comes from Dubai Municipality-licensed suppliers with halal slaughter certification, and we handle no pork or alcohol. We hold no certificate of our own and do not claim one.
Photographs of our food
There are none on this site. Every picture here is a drawing, made for us, showing what goes in the box rather than standing in for a photograph of the box you will get.
An exact delivery minute
Lunch lands between 11:30am and 1:30pm, dinner between 7pm and 9pm. Routes are planned around holding hot food above 60°C, not around hitting a number on a website.
Anything about their food
Nothing on this page describes another kitchen's cooking, hygiene or quality. We have not eaten it, so we have nothing to say about it, and every negative line above is that operator's own published sentence rather than our summary of it.
A licence number
Not published on this site yet. It goes in the footer and in the table above the day it is issued — not before.
